The Sonnenglas Story
It all started with a simple idea: capture the sun's energy and bring light to those who need it most.
In 2013, we launched Sonnenglas with a vision to combine German engineering with South African craftsmanship. The result was a beautiful, solar-powered lantern that would change lives on both sides of the supply chain.
Today, every Sonnenglas is still handcrafted in Johannesburg by a team of skilled workers who earn fair wages and work in safe conditions. It's proof that business can be a force for good.
